Money by Parsons.AI ("we", "our", or "the App") is a personal finance application that helps you track your finances. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. You may also sign in via Google or Apple, in which case we receive your name and email from those providers.
Financial Data
When you connect your bank accounts through Plaid, we receive and store:
- Account names, types, and balances
- Transaction history (merchant names, amounts, dates, categories)
- Investment holdings and securities
- Liability information (credit cards, loans, mortgages)
We never receive or store your bank login credentials. Plaid handles authentication directly with your financial institution.
AI Chat Data
When you use the AI assistant, we store your conversation messages to provide the service and maintain conversation history.
AI Data Processing
When you use the AI assistant, your financial data is sent to a third-party AI model provider to generate responses. The data sent may include:
- Your transaction history and spending patterns
- Account balances and financial summaries
- Investment holdings and liability information
- Questions and messages you send to the AI assistant
The App supports multiple AI model providers. Depending on your selection, your data may be sent to one of the following third-party AI services:
- Anthropic (Claude) — See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Google (Gemini) — See Google's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI (GPT) — See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- DeepSeek — See DeepSeek's Privacy Policy.
Each provider processes your data solely to generate responses to your queries. Per each provider's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train AI models.
Your conversation history is stored in our database and can be deleted at any time from your account settings. AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice.
On mobile, you will be asked to consent to AI data processing before using the AI assistant for the first time. You can revoke this consent at any time from Settings → AI Settings, which will disable the AI assistant.
Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers. Stripe handles all payment data securely.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Display your financial accounts, transactions, and net worth
- Provide AI-powered financial insights and answers to your questions
- Track spending categories and subscription payments
- Process your subscription and credit purchases
- Send important account notifications
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:

- Supabase — Hosts our database and authentication. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude) — One of our supported AI providers. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
- Row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data
- Secure token storage on mobile devices (iOS Keychain)
- No storage of bank credentials — Plaid handles this securely
- No storage of payment card numbers — Stripe handles this securely
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which will permanently remove all your data including:
- Your profile and authentication data
- All connected financial accounts and transaction history
- AI conversation history
- Plaid connections (revoked)
- Stripe customer data (deleted)
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the App's functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
